Irregular verb review

1.Make a visual representation of the irregular verb groups, e.g. a tree with one branch for each group, a house with one window for each group, etc.


 

2. Make a word puzzle including  at least 8 irregular verbs with 3 different forms.


 

3. Write a rhyme using the 3 forms of at least 3 irregular verbs. Here are some examples.

4. Write a short story starting with  "She didn't listen to her words" using at least 7 different irregular verbs in the Past Simple.

5. Write a 10 simple sentences with 10 irregular verbs in the Present Simple and then change them into the Past Simple and Present Perfect.

Block 1

 1. Conjugate the following verbs in the Past Continuous, affirmative, negative and interrogative

listen, study, put,write

Block 2 

2. What were people doing yesterday at 10.00? Write 10 sentences using the Past Continuous e.g.

My mother was working.

I was studying.

3. We use the contrast Past Continuous- Past Simple to talk about interrupted actions in the past. Write 10 examples of it. e.g.

I was reading a book when you called me. 

They left the presents while we were sleeping

Block 3 

4.Write a short story using the Past Simple and the Past Continuous (90-120 words). Choose between one of these topics

a) An accident. Describe how it happened and use as much vocabulary from the lists as you can.

b) A crime. Describe what happened and write how the investigators question the suspects by asking them what they were doing at the time of the crime.

c) Serendipity. Describe a "happy accident" something positive that is discovered by chance , or a lucky situation that happened when you weren't looking for it.
